A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 3 VIDEO SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS
THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCESS
WHEREAS, the City is experiencing problems relating to vandalism of City
property in selected locations; and
WHEREAS, the City can utilize the current infrastructure at the Century Sheriffs
Station; and
WHEREAS, purchasing 3 additional surveillance cameras can be done more
economically and expeditiously using the informal bid procedure; and
WHEREAS, Sectioh 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code allows City Council
to authorize the purchase through an informal bid by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council finds that the acquisition of the surveillance
cameras through an informal bid may be more economically and efficiently effective,
and that such direction requires a 4/5 vote of the City Council Members and the City
Council hereby approves the exercise of the exemption under Lynwood Municipal Code
Section 6 -3.13.
Section 2. That staff is authorized to go through an informal bid process for
video surveillance cameras and equipment and come back to Council for a bid award.
Section 3. By approving this resolution, the City Council authorizes the City
Manager or Designee to appropriate the following funds:

Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
