HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-24-1964 9 BOARD OF PUBLIC NOFJ S AND SAFETY December 24, 1964 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met ir_ regular session in the City Hall in said City Thursday, December 24, 1964, at the hour of 9:00 o'clock a.m. (est). Mr. Jameson presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Kemper. and Mr. Gehr. The- following business was had to-?;it: The Minutes were e ead by the o Mr. Kemper moved the following correction be made in the minutes immediately following the letter shown in said minutes from Henry B. Steeg and Associates with respect to the tabu.la.tion of bids for Construction of Surface Water Drainage. "Mr. Gehr moved that the bid of Tousley Construction Co., Inc. be accepted and the contract awarded to Tousley Construction Co,,Inc. This motion was seconded by Mr. Kemper and on voice vote was unanimously carried. ^ contract for the construction of said storm sewer was presented, and examined by P'r. :f`=emper, and Mr. Kemper then moved that the Board sign and execute this contract with the Tousley Construction Co., for the construction ef SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE, SECTION "C", SOUTH " " STREET STORM SE:ER EX- Z- - II TENSION TO SOUTH "E" STREET AND SOUTH 28th STREET. This motion was seconnded by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote was unanimously carried.". Mr. Gehr seconded the motion and on voice vote was unanimously carried. Mr. Gehr moved the bills be allowed, seconded by Mr. Kemper and on voice vote :rase carried. Mayor Cordell stated a request to park the Shrine Fire Truck at the No. 4 Fire House until spring had been made. The Board said a check into the 'insurance would have to be made before permission could be granted. Fire Chief Fredricks presented the follo.ing letter; Mr. Henry Jameson, President December 23, 1964 Board of Public Works and Safety City of Richmond, Indiana Dear Mr. Jameson T have a letter from Paul McDaniel statin ; his wishes to resign from. the Fire Department. The reason given is "other interests". - I ask that the Board. of Public Works and Safety accept this resignation, effective December 23, 1964. December 2/, 1964 being the date designated for receiving and opening such bids, the Board then opened and read aloud the following bids: HELMS TREE SERVICE $15.00 per tree Greenville. Ohio11 ANT RIM TREE SERVICE :rt;1 5.00 per tree , Richmond, Indiana FOiSTER MIRACLE & SONS ; 11.75 per tree Richmond, Indiana OHIO TREE SERVICE 314.00 per r tree _ F Richmond. Indiana (not signed) • Mr.Keraper moved the bid of Foister Miracle &' Sons in the amount of .' 11.75 per tree be accepted and the contract awarded to Foister Miracle & Sons.
