HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-30-2022 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 30,2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., June 30, 2022 in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Kara Noe,Purchasing; Bill Henry, Code Enforcement; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of June 16,2022, supported by Mr. Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for June 24, 2022 in the amount of Eighty One Thousand Two Hundred Forty Dollars and eighty three cents($81,240.83), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for July 1, 2022 in the amount of Two Hundred Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Five Dollars and thirty seven cents ($216,555.37), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for July 1, 2022 in the amount of Eight Hundred Sixty Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Six Dollars and fifty cents ($869,906.50), supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to approve a Payroll Claims for Payment correction for June 24, 2022 in the amount of One Thousand Six Hundred Thirty Four Dollars and no cents ($1,634.00), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION Board of Works Minutes June 30,2022 Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for Pension for June 30,2022 in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Eight Thousand One Hundred Ninety Eight Dollars and forty three cents ($268,198.43), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS • BID OPENING—SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROJECT There was one bid received from Brackney, Inc. with a base bid of$498,828.00 and an alternate bid of$22,000.00. This bid is being taken under advisement. • BID OPENING — PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF 4 POST 14,000 POUND TRUCK LIFT Bids received are as follows: Greensfork Alignment- $20,284.26 Kam Hydraulics - $19,765.99 These bids will be taken under advisement • UNSAFE BUILDINGS DEMOLITION —823 SOUTH "G" STREET 1. Confirmation of Publication Ms. Palmer moved to accept the Proof of Publication, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. 2. Bid Opening Bids submitted are as follows: Mikesell Excavating- $15,600.00 B&B Construction of Richmond-$18,250.00 These bids will be taken under advisement 3. Public Hearing Ms. Robinson open the floor for public hearing concerning the cost incurred for the demolition of this building. There being no one from the public showed to speak for or against the cost incurred for this project the Public Hearing was closed.
