So maybe this would cost $250,000 plus removal costs. Underground will cost $250,000 more or less for the bore, and probably another Million or more for the cable and cable termination structures. And they will be running down the middle of your property. The last one I did was 1800 feet in the open, and it cost 3 Million to put it underground. Same voltage, etc. Danny P. Brannon, P.E. I have copied the contact, Hector Torres here and attached his contact information as well. Basically, to make a long story short, they have been approved to move forward with the planning portion of a large improvement project on the south side of the New River which will include relocation of the overhead transmission line presently crossing the waterway and associated property. Many options have been discussed which Hector can fill you in on, but a couple include directional bore underneath the waterway or OH relocation of the TX line to SW 3rd Ave with an upper TX and Lower Distribution line. FPL will be doing the engineering study based upon the agreed options and that is where Hector and Cymbal Development need some help. Your understanding of the requirements, language and most importantly the process by which these issues are gleaned out within FPL can assist greatly with moving things forward in an organized and efficient manner. I have given your contact information to them and you can expect a call very soon.
