BOARD OF PUBLIC CORKS AND SAFETY
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 1964
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session in the City Hall in said City, Thursday, October 15, 1964, at
the hour of 9:00 o°clock a.m. Mr. Jameson presiding with the following members
being present: Mr. Kemper and Mr. Gehr. The following business was had to-wit:
Mr. Kemper moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with, seconded
by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote was carried. -
Mr. Gehr moved the bills be allowed, seconded by Mr. Kemper and on voice vote
was carried.
Mr. Doer, representing the Henry B. Steeg :Associates, appeared before the Board
and discussed the plans for the construction of Storm Sewer Drainage to extend
from South 0E" Street to South "G" Street, and including the area from South
23rd Street to South 28th Street. The estimated .costs is $210,000.00. The
Board gave preliminary approval to the general location and cost.
The Belden Storm Sewer Drainage was also discussed, which was estimated to
cost $5,000.00. . The Board gave preliminary approval to this project.
Mr. Kemper. moved the City Clerk prepare an Ordinance for Common Councils
consideration to appropriate the sum of °$220,000.00 from the Cumulative Build-
ing Fund for Storm Sewers, for construction of new storm sewers. Mr. Gehr
seconded this motion and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded and
carried the meeting adjourned.
