BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBBEn ,4_1964
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular
session in the City Hall in said City Thursday, September 17, 1964, at the hour of
9:00 o'clock a.m. Mr. Jameson_ presiding with the, following-members being present:
Mr. Gehr and Mr. Kemper. The following business was had to-wit:
Mr. Kemper moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with. Mr. Gehr
seconded this motion and on voice vote was carried.
Mr. Gehr moved the bills be allowed, seconded by Mr. Kemper and on voice vote was
carried.
Fire Chief, Fredricks recommended the installation of a fire hydrant at the intersection
of Capri Lane .Bnd idlewild in the Crestdale Addition. This request was made by the
Miles-Leonard Builders.
Mr. Kemper moved the redommendation be approved by this Board. This motion was seconded
by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote was carried,
Police Chief, Stultz recommended that Detective Foreman be sent to Homicide School to
he held at the University of. Cincinnati, Ohio, November 9th to the 14th, 1964.
Mr. Kemper moved the recommendation be approved by this Board. This motion was second-
ed by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote was carried.
Mr. Jameson reported that 800.00 would be needed for. Life Insurance and Compensation
and Automobile Insurance for the balance of the ensuing year. He recommended that the
sum of $800.00 be transferred from the Board of Works Budget Fund J-29 (7-73-731),
Barrett Law Improvements, to Board of Works Budget Fund J-20 (5-51) Insurance and
Premiums.
Mr. Kemper moved that an ordinance be prepared for Council°s consideration to transfer
the above amount of money. Mr. Gehr seconded this motion and on voice vote was"carried.
Mr. Gehr moved the claim in the amount of $150100 be paid to Mr. Pardo for painting
the parking meter spaces on Main Street. Mr. Kemper seconded this motion and on
voice vote the motion was carried.
Mr. Gehr moved the request of Mr. J.S.Wyatt, 202 North 14th Street to cut the curb on
North "B" Street be granted. This motion was seconded by Mr. Kemper and on voice vote
was carried.
There being no further business, on motion duly made, seconded and carried the meeting
adjourned.
