BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
Thursday August 27, 1964
The Board of Public Worksrfjand Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in the City Hall in said City, Thursday .August 27, 1964,
at the hour of 9:00 o°clock a.m. Mr. Jameson presiding, with the following
members being present: Mr. Gehr and Mr. Kemper. The following business was
had, to-wit:
Mr. Kemper moved the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with,
seconded by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote the motion was carried.
Mr. Gehr moved the bills be allowed, seconded by Mr. Kemper and on voice
vote was carried.
Mr. Jameson presented a request from the Downtown Richmond, Inc., to placek
permanent banners across 12th and 4th Streets on East Main Street and
Southwest lath and National Road West and from Haag Drug Store on East
Main Street. The banners will advertise Downtown Richmond.
Mr. Kemper moved that the request be granted, provided that said Down-
town Richmond, Inc. receive permission from the Indiana State Highway
Commission to place the banners as requested. This motion was seconded
by Mr. Gehr and on voice vote was carried.
