JANUAR.Y_301964 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond , In iana met in regular session in the Mayor' s office in the City Hall , T. urs- day, January 30th, 1964 at the hour of 9: 30 a .m. Mr. Jameson pr-- siding with the following members present : Mr. McDaniel and Mr. ,,ehr. The following business was had to-wit : IIIThe Clerk read in minutes of the previous meeting. McDaniel mov-d the minutes be approved as read, seconded by Gehr and on voice v ..te the motion was carried . Gehr moved the hills he allowed paid , second by McDaniel and on . • voice vote the motion was carried . Mr. Farrell Fadely and Mr. Karl Harming residents of the South E Street between 16th and 17th Streets appeared in a protest of Mr. Crocker, local developer of tearing up their drive-ways. Mr. Ge . r outlined steps that could be taken by the property owners to con struct a road-way from E to F Streets. Willard Bowen , local attorney, representing the Griswolds , Commo s and Browns on the subject of the proposed storm sewer in Berry Field addition. The aboved named residents will be effected by fl_oodi g conditions if the "proposed drainage of said storm sewers are to ,e drained as the contract outlines. ' Mr. Bowen presented a new alt:-r- native plan and Mr. Gehr will make a report to Steeg Associates .f this plan. McDaniel moved that the. City Hall be closed for the following holi- days : New Years , Christmas , Decoration Day, Fourth of July, Nove. ber llth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the afternoon of Good Friday. This motion was seconded by Gehr and on voice vote the motion was carried . • The hoard authorized the clerk to prepare a Declaratory Resoluti.n to appoint appraisers for the purpose of appraising two (2) 1955 G.M.C. Dump trucks to be traded in for two (2) new 1964. Dump Tru ks as per specification on file in City Clerk's office . McDaniel moved that this body sign the contract of the DeBolt Co_ - crete Co. Inc . to construct a sanitary sewer along National Road West from Campbell Avenue to Porterfield Avenue and in Porterfield Avenue from National Road to Meek Avenue. This motion was seconded by Gehr and on voice vote the motion was carried .
