HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-21-1963 97 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY NOVEMBER 21, 1963 The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular sedsion with City Controller Tiffany presiding- Board President City Attorney absent(Florida) -The following business was had to wit : The Board approved a curb cut at 601 North "D" Street , requested by Richmond Glove Corp. for a private drive into parking lot. The Board authorized City Controller Tiffany to place a trash container at Northwest 7th and Peacock Road, as requested by Mr. John Dye, principal at Dennis Junior High School, for students to throw paper from noon lunches A request that Meadowbrook Lane be graded was referred to the Street Dept. , and that a Street Sign be installed was referred to the Traffic Division. A complaint of the bad condition of the shoulders on Indiana Ave. was re- ferred to City Engineer Sherick for investigation. The Board approved the payment of $40.00 from the Barrett Law Fund to reimburse Clarence Gray 1100 North 12th Street for the damage of 4 trees caused by the installation of the River Court Sewer. A note was made to have City Attorney Cecere prepare a deed for the sale of City owned property at South 6th & "E" Street , to Joseph Austerman for the appraised Value of $200.00. Next Thursday being Thanksgiving the Board set Wednesday 27th for the next Board meeting. The Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the construction of Surface Water Drainage - -1963-64 Program -Sectimn "B" - Southwest 11G" Street And College Avenue area Storm Sewer Southwest First and Southwest "H" Street Area Storm Sewer Reeveston Road - 24thcto 28th Street Storm Sewer Henley Road and South "E" Street area Storm Sewer, to be opened December 16, 1963.
