BOARD OFPUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
OCTOBER11O 1963
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session with City
Attorney Cecere presiding, All members present - The following business
was had to wit :
The Bo and instructed the Clerk to prepare four (4) orders to the Rich-
mond Power & Light :
1- To make necessary changes in circuits to proceed with Street Light-
ing installation.
2- To prepare anestimate for the installation of automatic traffic
signal at 18th and National Road West.
3- Submit plans and recommendations for the extension of Street Light-
ing on Chester Pike (US27) north to IR-7:0. -
4- Prepare an estimate for adequate Street Lighting on South "N" Street
(Natco) from South 6th Street to the C. & 0. Railroad-petition by
Kemper Bros. -
The Clerk presented proof of publication that this date had been set t-o
open bids to remove and/or prune trees in the City, the proof was accept-
ed and ordered filed, the following bids were opened : -

Ohio Tree -Service - West Eaton Pike $14.50per tree 10.00 per tree
Antrim Tree Service-216 N. W. 18th St.0ih .1.00 " - Inch 22.00 "" ""
Bid of Otis Lady Withdrawn as the non-collusion affidavit was not signed.
City Controller Tiffany moved that the Board accept the low bid of the Ohm
Tree Service,seconded by City Engineer Sherick, §ubject that they provide
the necessary insurance.
The Clerk presented proof of publication that this date had been set to
open sealed bids for the construction of the following sewers: Resolutions
1058-1963 (South Richmond Division "A" 1059-1963 (Richmond Terrace) .
There were no bidders for 1058-1963 - Div. "A".
DeBolt Concrete Co. bid on 1060-1963- Richmond Terrace--- $45,046.80
" " " " " -" 1059-1963 - Div. "B" 27,481.20
Henry Owens & Son " " " " - " " 32 ,625.00
City Controller Tiffany moved to accept the low bid of the DeBolt ,
Concrete Co. for 1059-1963- Div. "B" seconded by City Engineer Sherick.
City Controller Tiffany moved that the board take the Bid of the DeBolt
Concrete Co. for 1060-1963 -of $45,046.80 under advisement, seconded by
City Engineer Sherick.
The Board ordered the curbs installed on the northeast corner of llth
& Main Street, with 3 parking meters east of llth and 2 parking meters
north on llth. -
The Board approved a recommendation by Captain Stout, Police Traffic
Divisoion to replace the yield sign at East 27th & Reevston Road with
a stop sign.
IIIThe Board approved a curb cut for the entrance` to the Leland Hotel
on South "A" Street. - -
Parking Meter poles have been numbered and repainted - reported by
William Adler, parking meter Department.
