OCTOBER 3, 1963
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session with City
Attorney Cecere presiding - City Engineer Sherick absent - The following
business was had to wit :
The Clerk presented proof of publication that this date had been set to hear
persons interested th Assessment Roll No. 1051-1963, the proofs were
accepted and ordered filed, as no one appeared against the Roll City
Controller Tiffany moved that the roll be confirmed.
The Board approved a recommendation by Police Chief Conyers to send three
(3) officers to the Indiana University Training School for Drunkometer
and Breathalyzer operators, et the Indiana. U. Medical Center in Indianapolis,
November 11 - 16 inclusive.
A request for permission to place benches in the down town area , by Bench
Ad Inc . at bus stops was taken under advisement.
The Board approved an estimate prepared by the Richmond Power and Light to
install a Street Light on South "J" between the Railroad and South 6th St .
Inspector Snavely reported that he will attend the annual Fall Meeting of
the Indiana Associations of Inspectors of weights and Measures , at Fort
Wayne, Indiana October 21st & 22nd , 1963
A petition for adequate Street Lighting on Hilldell Avenue was referred
to the Richmond Power and Light for an estimate and recommendation.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned :
