BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
SEPTEMBER19, 1963
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session with City Attorney
Cecere presiding - All members present - The following business w^s had to wit :
The Clerk presented proof of publication that this date had been set to hear
persons interested in Improvement Resolution No. 1060-1963, " A SANITARY SEWER
IN RICHMOND TERRACE" . Several property owners appeared and were in favor of the
sewer. The Clerk was instructed to advertise for bidders for the construction
of same , sealed bids to he opened Oct. 10, 1963 .
The Board instructed the City Engineer and Fire Chief to check on the need for
extension of the water line for fire protection on North 36th Street.
The Clerk presented proof of publi.cztion that this date had been set to hear
persona interested in Improvement Resolution No. 1059-1963. "A SANITARY
SEWER IN SOUTH RICHMOND DIVISION "B10 INDIANAPOLIS * BALTIMORE AND PONGEE
STREETS" , AS NO ONE APTDERARED TO REMONSTRATE AGAINST THE RESOLUTION, City
Controller Tiffany moved that it be confirmed , the Clerk was instructed to
advertise for bidders for the construction of same - October 1.0, 1963
The Clerk presented proof of Publication that this date h-d been sdt to open
sealed bids for the construction of a Sanitary Sewer - Division "A" Improv-
ement Resdoution No. 1058-1963 in South Richmond . No bids were received -
the Clerk was instructed to readvertise for' bids October 10, 1963.
The Board approved a curb cut for a private drive at 111 South East Parkway
of 20Ft. requested by Noley Newkirk.
The Board requested the Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the removal
and pruning of trees - October 10, 1963.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned :
