BOARD OF PUBLI6 WORKS AND SAFETY
AUGUST 15. 1963
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session with City
Attorney Cecere presiding. All members were present. The following
business was had to wit:
The Clerk presented proof of publication that this date had been set
to hear persons interested in Improvement Resolution No, 1056-1963,
"The construction of a samitary sewer in the Rilier Court Addition."
City Controller Tiffany moved that the Resolution be confirmed as no
one appeared to remonstrate, sedonded by City Engineer Sherick. The
Board set September 5, 1963 to open sealed bids fvom contractors.
The Clerk presented proof of publication that this drte had been set
to hear persons interested in Improvement Resolution No. 1055-1963,
"The construction of a sanitary sewer on Northwest "L" Street , from
Northwest 6th Street to the Railroad", No remonstrators appearing,
City Controller Tiffany moved that the Resloution be confirmed, seconded
by City Engineer Sherick. The Board set September 5, 1963 to open
sealed bids from contractors.
, The Board approved the estimate and recommendation of the Richmond Power
and Light to install 8 Street Lights in the Crestdale Subdivision
2-4 & 5 additions and 2 Street Lights on Mendelson Drive. The Clerk
was instructed -to advise the Richmond Power and Light.
The Board approved a request by Richard Jessiop of the Home Laundry
to run all electric cable from the Home Laundry to their new building
at llth and Main Street . Cable to be 15 feet above the ground ®
The Board approved a request by J. Richard Kemper for a block party on
South 21st Street between South "A" and "B" Streets at 5 :00 PM August ,
17, 1963, subject to Street and Traffic Departments being notified.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
