AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING SECTION
160 - 119.1, "CERTIFICATE OF CONTINUED USE OR OCCUPANCY" OF
ARTICLE XV, "MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS" OF CHAPTER 160, "LAND
DEVELOPMENT" OF CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret (the
"Borough ") as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 160- 119.1, Certificate of continued use or occupancy, of Article
XV of Chapter 160, Land Development, of the Carteret Code is hereby amended and
supplemented to add a new subsection A.(I)(a)(5) to read as follows, with the balance of
said section to remain unchanged:

That all property fronting upon a street or roadway in a residential, commercial
or industrial zone within the Borough shall have sidewallcs installed by the property
owner in accordance with Section Mof this code.
SECTION 2. All Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provision of this
Ordinance are hereby repealed limited to the extent of any such inconsistency.
SECTION 3. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision of this
Ordinance is adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only to the section,
paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision so adjudged and the remainder of this
Ordinance shall be deemed valid and effective.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according to
applicable law.

6:00 P.M., Memorial Municipal
Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Car-
teret, New Jersey at which time
