- BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
DECEMBER 27, 1962
The lloard of Public Workd and Safety met in regular sessionwith City Att-
orney Cecere presiding. All members present. The Following Business
was had to wit :
The Board received estimate No. 2368 from the Richmond Power and Light
for the installation of two (2) Street Lights on South "K" Street between
South 4th Street and Liberty Ave. The Board approved one (1) Street
Light equal distance between the intersections of South 4th & Liberty
Ave.
The Board received estimate No. 2366 from the Richmond Power and Light,
for the installation of more lighting in the areaof the South 10th
Street Park, the Board approved the installation, and referred the es-
timate to the Park Board for approval of the current charge.
City Engineero�Sherick submitted adjusted assessments for Assessment
Roll No. 1962 , the construction �£ Curbs, gutters and s�as�v�ck on
. The public hearing - - ,r, will be
held January , l T�3 1�¢63 (Assessment Roll) .
City Controller Tiffany moved that all promotions in the Fire and Police
Departments be placed on a six month probationary period, seconded by
City Engineer Sherick.
The Board discussed the disannexation of the Test Bridge Area. City
IIIEngineer Sherick has completed the map and is obtaining signatures of
property owners .
The Board moved to reatin the same officers for 1963. City Attorney
Andrew C. Cecere as President and City Controller Tiffany as Vice Pre-
sident.- City Clerk Glenn J. Lhapman was reappointed as Clerk of the Board
by Mayor Roland H. Cutter.
The Board promoted Harold Personnette to the rank of Captain in the Fire
Department , filling a vacancy created by the death of Captain Robert
Weller, effective January 1, 1963, at which time Personnette will begin
the six-month probationary period.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
