BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
NOVEMBER 15. 1962
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session with City
Attorney Cecere presiding. All members were present. The following
- business was had to wit :
The Board received a petition requesting adequate street lighting on111
South "K" Street, between South 4th Street and Liberty Avenue. It was
referred to the Richmond Power and Light for estimate and recommendation.
The Board ordered street signs installed in the Crestdale Sub-Division,
correct names and location§ to be furnished by the Engineering Department.
An estimate for there(3) additional street lights, in the Clear Creek area
by the Richmond Power and Light was taken under advisement.
City Controller Tiffany read a letter from Mrs. Thomas G. Klute, concern-
ing the status of the Fluoridation Ordinance. City Attorney Cecere said
that the Richmond,Water Works Corporation officials have told him fluor-
idation of Richmond's water supply will be delayed until the early spting
of 1963.
Paul Trout of the Rad-O-Lite Company of Erie, Pa. discussed a traffic
signal device with the Board that emergency vehicles could control the
immediate signals ahead and eliminate the caution signals now used for
emergency runs.
The Bo-rd confirmed the assessment roll for Southwest 20th Street and
Southwest "A" Street.
City Controller Tiffany reported that the boiler at the airport hanger
was a total loss, the Board approved an estimate of $1350.00 for a replace-
ment boiler - $1215.00 to be paid by the insurance company and $135.00
depreciation to be paid by Scy-Teck. .
The Board approved a request by the Y Mens Club to store .Christman Trees
in the yard of thePFolice Station at West llth and Main Street.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
