Call to Order & Declaration of a Quorum , Meeting Participation Statement and Recording Statement:
Superintendent Conrad called the virtual meeting to order at 6 : 30 p .m . , declared a quorum present, and read the
meeting participation and recording statements .
REORGANIZATION :
On a motion by Judi Lech, seconded by Katie Jacobus, it was voted unanimously via roll call vote to appoint
Dave Telman as Chair of the Brewster School Committee,

PRIORITY BUSINESS
Principal ' s Reports
Principal Gauley ' s written report was included in the Committee packet . Principal Gauley recognized two
IF retirees : Elisa Bucci and Barry Scofield . End of the year activities are in swing with field day, a dance fest and
grade 2 sendoffs . Principal Gauley thanked the School Committee for providing an all staff lunch on the last day
of school .

Principal Hughes written report was included in the report . Principal Hughes recognized retirees Marsha Dugas,
Chris Seymour, Judy Ireland, Julie Benning and Barry Schofield . Principal Hughes thanked the parents, staff and
school community for all the support this school year . Grade 5 promotion night will take place outdoors, in
staggered times to eliminate crowds . Discussion was held on recognizing retirees as we move forward .
Discussion was held on the continuation of the meal program over the summer.
Superintendent ' s Report
Superintendent Conrad reported he is working hard to clean up all projects and initiatives prior to retirement . He
has met with Interim Superintendent Brooke Clenchy and Curriculum Director Robin Millen . High School
graduation was an excellent ceremony and was enjoyed by all . Keith Kenyon will be doing something similar
regarding Middle School graduation .
RFP School Consolidation — Discussion & Vote
Donna Kalinick updated the Committee on the RFP School Consolidation Project . Fourteen firms requested the
RFP , Ha..beeb & Assooiates was the one firm that submitted a proposal. Habeeb & associates will be awarded a

Whitecaps F1 Spraying `Discussion and Vote

Bob Graczewski from the Brewster Whitecaps was present to detail the organic all natural ingredient mosquito
spray for the fields . He emphasized that the spray is an all-natural product, is not an insecticide , and has been
shown to have little, if any, negative impact . He said that the dates for spraying were to be set very soon . Chair
Telman request that he be notified of the dates when they have been set, and Bob agreed to do so .
After discussion it was moved by Katie Jacobus , seconded by Judi Lech and voted unanimously to approve
the organic sprang of the fields.
Email Discussion
Chair Telman reminded the Committee that all School Committee correspondence and communications should go
through the Nauset Schools email addresses .
FY21 Budget Expenditure Reports
Giovanna Venditti reviewed the Brewster Elementary expenditure reports , highlighting expenses/changes of
$ 1 , 000 or more from the prior month .
Between the two school budgets there is currently a balance of $ 142, 575 available .

Chair Telman and the Committee thanked Superintendent Conrad for his years of service to the Nauset Public
Schools community.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Katie Jacobus , seconded by Mecca and voted unanimously via roll call vote to
approve the Minutes of May 20 , 2021 .
It was moved by Casey Mecca , seconded by Katie Jacobus and voted unanimously via roll call vote to go
into Executive Session at 7 : 46PM to discuss Contract Negotiations.
The Committee will not return to open session .
