Ref: Appropriation for purchase of New Aerial Apparatus for the City of Richmond,
Richmond Fire Department.
Ms Palmer, I would like to request additional appropriations for the 2022 budget for the
purchase of a new Aerial Apparatus for the Richmond Fire Department. This apparatus has
been properly bid and awarded to 911 Fleet and Fire Equipment of Florence, KY to supply one
100' Aerial Ladder to be manufactured and provided by Seagrave Fire Apparatus LLC of
Clintonville, WI in the amount of$1,563,773.00 with the possibility of a reduction of
$68,549.00 for a total of$1,495224.00 if we choose the cash option.
Our original plan was to lease this apparatus, but have made the decision that paying for the
apparatus would be more prudent.
I ask that we make said appropriation as follows:
From: First Response Fund 2215-0000-800-6000 $1,500,000.00
To: First Response Capitol 2215-0301-505-4436 $1,500,000.00
