Board Of Public Works And -Safety

The Board of Public Works: andSafety met in regular session in City Hall
with City Controller Wilson presiding. All members present . Minutes
dispensed with. The following business waS had To-Wit :

City Engineer Deuker moved that Ralph Reed & Son, Anderson, Indiana,
be awarded the contractfor the construction of "A" "D" itEtt of the
sanitary sewer in the vicinity of the Bel Mlor Addition at their i'
bid price of 25, 642.60 Seconded by City Controller Wilson.

City Attorney Cecere moved that Improvement Resolution No. I034-1959
be adopted for the construction of a sanitary sewer in the vicinity
of N. W. 5th and "Lit St . Seconded by City Controller Wilson.
The Clerk was instructed to advertise for a public hearing on this
program.

City Engineer Deuker reported that his studies showed it would be
possible to constructed a sanitary sewer to serve N. W. 6th St . but
that he did not have an estimate ready on the cost of this sewer.
- He said he would reported on this at a later date.
On the motion of City Attorney Cecere the folling street light
installations were approved.
a. 28 mercury vapor lights on National Road West from S. W. I$th
to Salisbury Road.
b. IO mercury vapor lights on North 9th St . between "A" and "C" St .
c . Z mercury vapor light at the intersection of the Elks Club Road
and East Main St .
d. I incadescent pendant light on N.W. 6th St . south of N.W. "L" St .
e. I. pendant light at South 4th and "K" St .
f. 2 pendant lights on N.W. 13th St . between Main St . and
Peacock Road.
Seconded by Controller Wilson.
- The clerk read a letter from the Commissioner of Buildings
regarding the condemnation of the property located at 1224 S. 14th- St .
owned by Mrs. Solie Mustapha of Dayton, Ohio.
' This letter was ordered filed.
Fire Chief Williams asked permission to block North "F" St. from North
I2th to N. 13th, for one day for the purpose of burning an old
building and the training of new fireman. City Atorney Cecere
moved that permission be granted. Seconded byCity Engineer Deuker,
The board approved the installions of a street sign at South 27th
and Parkway Lane .
There being no further business, the meeting .adjourned.
