HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 1348CHAPTER 8 ARTICLE 7 AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 674, CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 8, SECTIONS 6-1 THROUGH 6-35 Sec. 7-109: Rezoning of property owned by Jeffrey and Carolyn Dement, commonly known as 310 Robert Avenue, Plainfield, Illinois. WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held on the amendment to said Chapter 8, Article 6, Sections 6-1 through 6-35 lOrdinanr_.e Iv'a. 6741 of said Village of Plainfield as hereinafter set forth, and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Plainfield has heretofore filed a report of its acts and doings in the premises and its recommendation that the real estate hereinafter described be zoned B-2 Business District under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-1 through 6-35, entitled "An Ordinance Requiring Permits far Buildings, Structures, and Uses, Dividing the Village into Districts, Specifying Minimum Lot Sizes, Set Backs and Side Yards, Regulating the Bulk of Buildings, Providing for Appeals and Imposing Penalties," be granted; and WHEREAS, we believe that the highest and best use of the real .estate hereinafter described is for uses permitted in a B-2 Business District under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Sections 6-~. through 6-35; and WHEREAS, no written objections to the zoning of said premises were filed and no one appeared in person to object to the zoning of said real estate; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the President and Board of Trustees of the ~'ill~ge of Plainfield that tre zonir~g of the real estate hereinafter described should be zoned and classified as a B-2 Business District under said Zoning ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as Follows: Sec. 7-109-1: Territory Described. That the following tract of land, to wit is described as follows: THE WEST 230 FEET OF LOT 18, EXCEPT THE WEST 120 FEET THEREOF,' IN UNIT NO. ~., OF PLAINFIELD ACRES, A SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTH 2, 301 FEET OF THE WEST HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 15, IN TOWNSHIP 36 NORTH, AND IN RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL >~ MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED JULY 2, 1,951, TN PLAT BOOK 27, PAGE 55, AS DOCUMENT NO. 694113, TN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS. which said tract of land was previously zoned B-1 Business, said tract is now classified and zoned as B-2 Business District under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-17 (Ordinance No. 574) and is hereby added to and made a part of the B-2 Business District under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 5-17. Sec. 7-109- If Part Invalid. The invalidity of any part or section hereof shall not effect the valida,ty of the remainder hereof. Sec. 7-109-3: This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 1348. This Ordinance, numbered as 1348, shall be in full force and effect after its passage and approval according to law. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as required by law.
