ARTICLE 8: VARIATION TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 674, GRANTED
BY ACTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD BOARD OF
TRUSTEES REGARDING 700 WEST 143RD STREET.
Sec. 8-35: Variation of sideyard setback far property at 700
West 143rd Street owned by Peterson Manufacturing
Company.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held on
the proposed variation to allow variation from Chapter 8, Article
6 of said Village of Plainfield as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Plainfield has heretofore filed a report of its acts and doings
in the premises and its recommendations that the petition
requesting a variance for the real estate hereinafter described
from the fence requirements under said Chapter 8, Article 6,
entitled "An Ordinance Requiring Permits for Buildings,
Structures, and Uses, Dividing the Village into Districts,
Specifying Minimum Lot Sizes, Set Backs, and Side Yards,
Regulating the Bulk of Buildings Providing for Appeals and
Imposing Penalties", be granted; and
WHEREAS, we believe that the sideyard setback requirements
of said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-25 place an undue
hardship upon the owner of said real estate; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Plainfield that the petition
requesting a variance from the requirements of said Chapter 8,
Article 6, Section 6-25 for the real estate hereinafter described
should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
as follows:

COMMENCING 3 CHAINS AND 14 LINKS WEST OF A POINT 30.00
FEET NORTH AND 30.00 FEET WEST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 36 NORTH, RANGE 9, EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN; RUNNING THENCE WEST 2 CHAINS; THENCE
NORTH 2 CHAINS AND 50 LINKS; THENCE EAST 2 CHAINS; THENCE
SOUTH 2 CHAINS AND 5 LINKS TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, ALL
IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Sec. 8-35-2: If Part Invalid. The invalidity of any part
or section hereof shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof.
Sec. 8-35-3: This Ordinance shall be in full, farce and
effect from and after its passage and approval as provided
by law.
This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 1339
