CHAPTER 8 ARTICLE 8 ARTICLE 8: VARIATION TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 574, GRANTED BY ACTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFTELD BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGARDING 23227 WEST LINCOLN HIGHWAY. Sec. 8-32: Variation of Sign for property at 23227 West Lincoln Highway, owned by Amerifed Federal Savings Bank, as Trustee, under Trust Agreement dated February 27, 1986 and known as Trust No. 8--1187. WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held on the proposed variation to allow variation from Chapter 8, Article 6 of said Village of Plainfield as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Plainfield has heretofore filed a report of its acts and doings in the premises and its recommendations that the petition requesting a variance for the real estate hereinafter described from the sign requirements under said Chapter 8, Article 6, entitled "An Ordinance Requiring Permits for Buildings, Structures, and Uses, Dividing the Village into Districts, Specifying Minimum Lot Sizes, Set Sacks, and Side Yards, Regulating the Bulk of Buildings Providing for Appeals and Imposing Penalties", be granted; and WHEREAS, we believe that the sign requirements of said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-19 place an undue hardship upon the owner of said real estate; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield that the petition requesting a variance from the requirements of said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 5-19 for the real estate hereinafter described should be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF RLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows. Sec. 8-32--1: Te ritor Described. That the Following tract of land described, to-wit: is attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof. which said tract of land is hereby granted a variance to allow far an eighty-one (81) square foot ground sign, twenty (20) feet in height without any encroachment of the Route 30 right-of-way line, with the further condition that the free-standing fourteen (14) foot high sign be removed. r . Sec. 8-32-2: If Part Invalid. The invalidity of any part or section hereof shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof. Sec. 8-32-3: This Ordinance shall be in fu11 force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
