HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-07-2022 1- Y THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JULY 7,2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Tracy Bosell, Street Commissioner; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of June 30,2022, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for July 8, 2022 in the amount of Three Hundred Twenty Seven Thousand Two Hundred Seventy Two Dollars and thirty eight cents ($327,272.38), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT-None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION -None REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS • CRACK SEALING Pavement Solutions, Inc. not to exceed$130,149.00. Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. Board of Works Minutes July 7,2022 • 14,000 LB 4-POST TRUCK LIFT Kam Hydraulics, Inc. not to exceed$19,765.99. This includes installation. Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • 40" COLD PLANER FOR MILLING ASPHALT Bobcat of Anderson not to exceed $27,250.00 Ms.Palmer moved to approve,supported by Mr.Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CONTRACTS • CONTRACT 100-2022 —RICHMOND COMMUNITY SCHOOLS FOR THE 2022- 2023 SCHOOL YEAR The Richmond Fire Department and Richmond Community Schools wish to maintain partnered youth program for the 2022 — 2023 school year for the purpose of providing eligible students with Fire and Rescue I and II class instruction and EMS program class instruction. Eligible participants in the program may include both Richmond Area Career Center("RACC") students and probationary members of the Richmond Fire Department. Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 104-2022—COMMUNITY CDJR,INC. City hereby retains Contractor to furnish one(1)2022 Dodge Durango AWD for the Richmond Fire Department. Not to exceed $38,937.25 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
