RESOLUTION APPROVING TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION AND EXECUTE A GRANT CONTRACT
WITH THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE ARTS DISTRICT ROAD AND
STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Borough of Carteret formally approve the
application for the above stated project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to submit an electronic grant
application identified as MA- 2017- Carteret Borough -00066 to the New Jersey Department of
Transportation on behalf of the Borough of Carteret.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the grant agreement
on behalf of the Borough of Carteret and that their signature constitutes acceptance of the terms and
conditions of the grant agreement and approves the execution of the grant agreement.
Adopted this 27 day of December, 2016 and
certified as a true copy of the original on
December 28 2016.

As you are aware, the Borough must adopt a resolution In support of the NJDOT Municipal Aid
Program Grant application for the above - mentioned project.
Please find enclosed a draft resolution supporting same for adoption by the Council. Please be
advised that applications must be submitted no later than February 3, 2017; therefore, we request
this resolution is put on the agenda for consideration at the next council meeting.
