Sec. 8-144 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY OWNED BY
PLAINFIELD PARTNERS, AN ILLINOIS GENERAL
PARTNERSHIP
WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is
contiguous to the Village of Plainfield and is not within the
territorial limits of any other municipality; and
WHEREAS, the owner has petitioned for annexation of the
territory to the Village of Plainfield; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within the said
territory; and
WHEREAS, notices as required by statute have been served
and published, and a proper hearing has been held; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of
Plainfield that said territory be annexed to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, as follows:
Sec. 8-144-1: Territory Described. That the
following described tract of land herein called
territory, to-wit:
THE EAST THREE QUARTERS OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH,
RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, WfiEATLAND
TOWNSHIP, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AND THE ROAD RIGHT-OF-
WAYS ADJACENT TO SAID EAST THREE QUARTERS OF THE SOUTH
HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 33.
be, and the same is hereby annexed to and declared
part of the Village of Plainfield, a Municipal
Corporation.
Sec. 8-144-2: Village Limits Extended. That the
Village limits of the Village of Plainfield be, and
the same are hereby extended to include the above
described territory.
Sec. 8-144-3: Ordinance No. 1 Amended. That
Ordinance No. 7. of the Village of Plainfield be
amended as follows:

That the limits of the Village of Plainfield
shall be extended to include the tract of land
described in Section 8-144-1 hereof.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby
repealed.
This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance
No. 1291 and shall take effect upon its passage
and approval in accordance with the provisions of
the Statutes of the State of Illinois in such case
made and provided and the Village Clerk shall
certify two copies of this Ordinance together with
an accurate map of the annexed territory and file
same in the office of the County Clerk and the
Village Clerk shall certify a copy of this
Ordinance together with an accurate map of the
annexed territory and record same in the Office of
the Recorder of Deeds of said Will County.

residing on the land hereinafter described, under oath, petition
the Village of Plainfield, Will County, Illinois to ANNEX said
territory to said Village, and state that (all of the electors
(voters) residing in said territory), or, (at least 51~ of the
electors residing within said territory) have affixed their
signatures hereto, or there are no electors residing within said
territory.
Your petitioners further state that the territory
hereinafter described is not included within the limits of any
city, village or incorporated town or is subject to any
proceeding for same and is or will be contiguous to the Village
of Plainfield, Will County, Illinois.
