AIJTBORI=iG A PROFESSIONAL SER irICES CONTRACT FOR
DECOTIIS, FITZPATRICK & COLE, LLP
''VH"REAS, the Borough of Carteret, ( "Borough "), is in need of specialized legal services with
regard to the various legal services within the Borough; and
NWI EREAS, DeCotiis, FitzPan - ick, & Cole, LLP possess the requisite skill and expertise to
provide such specialized legal services; and
ERFAS, the Law Director of the Borough of Carteret has recommended the appointment of
otiis, FitzPatrick & Cole, LLP to represent the Borough of Carteret in various matters at a
not to exceed .$75,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret,
that DeCotiis, F;izPatrick & Cole, LLP are hereby appointed as special counsel to represent the
Borough of Carteret in the above described matter at a cost not to exceed 575,000.00; and
BE IT FURTIER RESOLVED that this appointment is made as a professional se
contract pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and
Process as authorized by law.
