A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
EMERGENCY REPAIRS OF AN 8 INCH SEWER MAIN LINE LOCATED ON LOUISE
AVENUE AND SANBORN AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUND APPROPRIATIONS AND
TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, the 8 inch sewer main line located on Louise Avenue and Sanborn
Avenue, is "sagged ", and damaged, and is in urgent need of repairs; and
WHEREAS, said urgent repairs are authorized by Section 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the repairs is estimated to be $54,745; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified un- appropriated Sewer funds that can be
appropriated for this repair work.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: 1
Section 1. That the City Council approves the repair of the 8 inch sewer
tine located on Louise Avenue and Sanborn Avenue.
Section 2. That the City Council awards a contract to Valverde Construction in
the not -to- exceed amount of $54,745 and authorizes the Mayor to execute the
agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney. I
Section 3. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 4. This Resolution shall take immediate effect upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of February, 2014.
