A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CARRYOVER OF APPROVED PRIOR YEAR PURCHASE
ORDERS RELATING TO TRAFFIC SAFETY AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDSI
WHEREAS, Lynwood Municipal Code Section 6 -3.7 allows the approval of
purchases by the purchasing officer for supplies, equipment and routine services; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager acting as the purchasing officer, approved the
following purchase orders in FY 2012 -13 for BC Traffic Specialist; PCI; El Camino
Asphalt Paving Corp; and Orange County. Striping Service Inc; and I
WHEREAS, the purchase orders were closed with their full remaining
and
WHEREAS, Public Works Department has relied upon the approval of, the
purchase orders and has engaged the services of one of the vendor, Orange County
cStriping Service Inc.; and
WHEREAS, services and goods on these purchase_ orders are needed for the
traffic safety program; and
WHEREAS, the Gas Tax Fund has sufficient fund balance to cover the
amount of $59,500 for the four purchase orders listed above.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the appropriation of $59,500 from the
unappropriated Gas. Tax Fund to the Street Maintenance Division Account (Account
Number 2051.45.410).
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the carryover of the approved FY
2012 -13 purchase orders for BC Traffic Specialist, PCI, El Camino Asphalt Paving Corp
and Orange County Striping Service Inc.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of February, 2014.
