THE STEAM TABLE IS ENCRUSTED WITH BACTERIA PRODUCING ACCUMULATIONS AND . " LIME DEPOSITS.ALSO,THE COUNTERS, TABLES AND THE, MEAT SLICER NEED CLEANING • 6. YOUR DISHWASHING FACILITIES ARE INADEQUATE: 'CONSTANT 170 DEGREE WATER' MUST BE . PROVIDED FOR SANITIZING , DISHES AND UTENSILS; OR A THREE COMPARTMENT - SINK INSTALLED AND A SANITIZING AGENT USED IN THE THIRD COMPARTMENT. ON THE DAY OF OUR INSPECTION YOUR WATER TEMPERATURE TESTED 150 DEGREES. YOUR PRE- SENT TWO COMPARTMENT SINK IS BEING USED IMPROPERLY SINCE HOT WATER IS MERELY BEING POURED 'OVER DISHES, ' INSTEAD OF THE NECESSARY TWO MINUTE ` IMMERSION IN II , ITO DEGREE WATER. • 7. UTENSILS .SHOULD BE STORED ABOVE . THE FLOOR IN A CLEAN PLACE PROTECTED FROM FLIES AND DUST, SPLASH ETC, AND INVERTED , OR _COVERED WHEN PRACTIBLE . 8. SEVERA'L. PAPER BOX TRASH CONTAINERS UNDER ,THE LUNCH COUNTER SHOULD B.E _, DESTROYED AND TIGHT, NON-ABSORBENT, WASHABLE ,RECEPTACLES BE OBTAINED TO STORE WASTES. ' _ . _ 9.. DIRTY MOPS, BROOMS AND OTHER CLEANING EQUIPMENT SHOULD NOT- BE KEPT AT CLOSE PROfIIMITY TO THE COOKING AREA. THE IMPROVEMENTS AS OUTLINED IN THIS LETTER ARE NECESSARY TO MEET. THE CLERK REPORTED THAT EARL MAYOR, W.5TH & MAIN',OWNER OF A LOT AT THE CORNER OF THE FIRST ALLEY NORTH OF NATIONAL ROAD WEST ON SW 14TH STREET, HAD BEEN RE— PEATEDLY ASKED TO CUT THE WEEDS ON HIS LOT AND HAD NOT YETIDONE SO. THE -CLERK WAS INSTRUCTED TO HAVE THE STREET DEPARTMENT CUT THE WEEDS AND' ASSESS THE COST AGAINST THE PROPERTY. MR. EARL ROBBINS,ATTORNEY,APPEARED IN BEHALF OF CLARENCE. HOVERTER, I234 CROSS— HALL ST. ,AND SAID THE IMPROVEMENTS OR REMOVAL OF THE DWELLING ON THE REAR OF 1447+ RIDGE WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED IN THE NEAR FUTURE. HE WAS ADVISED, SINCE THIS BUILDING -IS IN VIOLATION OF ZONING LAWS, TO SECURE A WRECKING PERMIT AND HAVE THE BUILDING REMOVED* CITY CONTROLLER WILSON MOVED THAT CLEAL RHEUBLE AND PAUL MC DANIELS BE MADE ' REGULAR FIREMAN AS OF 9-3-58 AS THEIR PROBATIONERY PERIOD WOULD BE SERVED AS OF THAT DATE. THE CLERK WAS INSTRUCTED TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER $500.00 FROM POLICE PAYROLLS TO GARAGE & MOTOR SUPPLY. • THE CITY CONTROLLER WAS INSTRUCTED TO CONVERT THE COAL FURNACE AT THE POLICE RADIO TOWER TO OIL FOR THE COMING WINTER SEASON. CITY ATTORNEY CECERE MOVED THAT , PURSUANT TO A LETTER FROM -THE ATTORNEY GEN— ERAL OF THE STATE OF I ND I ANA, AN ADDITIONAL CLOTH I NG ALLOWANCE 4FOR THE POLICE CHIEF AND ASSISTAND POLICE CHIEF, IN THE AMOUNT OF $238.00 EACH BE ALLOWED. THE SAME TO BE USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PURCHASE OF A UNIFORM FOR EACH OF THE SAID OFFICES AND FOR NO OTHER PURPOSE AND THIS ADDITIONAL ALLOWANCE SHALL BE FOR THE YEAR '1958 ONLY..
