RESOLUTION NO. 09-01-04
ACCEPTING A LETrER OF RESIGNATION AND EXPRESSING GRATITUDE
FOR MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, Chuck Reid has served the Town of Fraser since April 1, 1995;
WHEREAS, we can only guess as to why April Fools Day was chosen as the
start date;
WHEREAS, the Town of Fraser has benefited from his high level of service,
dedication, and commitment to the community;
WHEREAS, as Town Manager, successful endeavors have included
implementing sound administrative polices and procedures, numerous community
initiatives, establishment of effective regional relationships, construction of the Fraser
River Trail and acquisition of over 100 acres of open space, paving of Town streets,
and many others including enduring four mayors and twenty four trustees;
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department feels that this resignation will extend
the useful life of the skid steer and other vehicles; and
WHEREAS, it seems that the time has come for Chuck Reid to return to Planet
Earth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of
Fraser, Colorado as follows:
1. The community expresses immense gratitude for the blood, sweat, and tears
shed on behalf of the community.
2. The Reid family is encouraged to take their time with their relocation plans
and enjoy their new status as resident simple folk.
3. The residents of Fraser are encouraged to respect the peace and sanctity of
the Reid family in their new role as residents as they shop at Safeway and
visit the coffee shop.
4. The Mayor and Board of Trustees are truly grateful to have been blessed
with the services and dedication of Chuck Reid and wishes him and his
family the very best of success and happiness.
