WORKS & SAFETY, RICHMOND,INDIANA
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1957
The Board of Public Works & Safety met in regular session in City Hall with City Controller
Wilson presiding. City Attorney Cecere absent. Minutes dispensed with. The following busi_
ness was had, to-wit;
The Chiefs of the Fire and Police Departments were instructed by the Board to study safety
measures to cover the safety of pedestrians and motorists at those 'places where fire trucks
leave their stations, with particular attention to be given No. 1 lire Station. Also, a
study to be made regarding traffic light control on emergency runs by the fire and police
departments. Said chiefs to m4ke recommendations to the Board in the near future.
Earl Ambrose, Commander of Howard Thomas American Legion Post #315, and a representative
of National Exhibits,asked Board approval for the parking of a trailer on South 8th St.,
by the Knollenberg Annex on October 14,1957, 15 & 16th. 'Said trailer to hold an exhibit of
interest to the public. All monies received by the American Legion on this exhibit to be
turned over to the United Fund. The Board approved this exhibit provided an O.K. is re-
ceived by the United Fund Headquarters.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
