Blakesley at the Captains Golf Course. Donald was a member of the Captains at the time of his death. I have been in touch with Jay Packett, PGA Director of Operations, Captains Golf Course and through Jay I understand the importance of properly following the Commission's process. I am currently a member of the Captains, along with a friend of mine Kenneth Avondo a resident of the Town of Brewster and also a friend of Donald's. Thank you for your consideration regarding this request. Daniel McDonough Golf Commissioners and Director of Golf, I understand that you are considering raising the rates of non- resident members by a significant 25%. 1 have to admit I was taken back that you would consider such a harsh increase. I have been a member for over 18 years and have volunteered and given money over the years whenever The Captains needed help. I am still working, and the early morning tee time is the only way I can play golf and then go to work. I am the Treasurer of the 18-Hole Women's Golf,a well respected group of women known throughout the Cape and beyond. I used to think I was an essential part of The Captains. However, this increase is like a slap in the face and as a non-resident I feel undervalued and disrespected. I am hoping you will reconsider such a huge and harsh (punishment?) rate. Respectfully, Jan Baxter The raising of the non-resident golf membership fee to$2,200. Is outrageous! A 26%??? I have inquired of the local golf courses on Cape Cod regarding their non-resident fees and they are as follows: Dennis Highlands: $1,200.With a proposed increase of$200. Bayberry Hills:$1,200.(The same as a resident fee-they do not discriminate) Cranberry Valley:$910. If Orleans resident(they have different fees depending on the town you live in) Our existing$1,750. Nonresident fee is$550. Higher than any course in the area!Abd the proposal of an increase of$450.is ludicrous!!! Has anyone investigated how many members are non-residents?And these non-residents have not inter referred with any Brewster resident joining? So if you impose such an increase and these non- residents leave, where will the membership be?? I also submit there should be a consideration for those non-residents who have been members for 5 or 10 years .And also a consideration should be made for someone like myself who will be moving out of the town of Brewster and has been a member of the Captains for 18 years? This increase is way beyond what is fair and equitable! I would appreciate your consideration. Lorraine C. Harvey Dear Golf Commissioners and Director of Golf, I have heard rumors about the proposed rate structures for next year and possible significant increases including a 25%increase in non-resident membership annual fees. As a non-resident member who joined Captains 14+years ago and has served on many committees and in multiple leadership roles, I hope that the Golf Club and Commission demonstrate their respect for and acknowledge the value of non-resident members. If the operating deficit requires a significant increase in Annual Fees, then I hope that%increase is applied equally to both Residents and Non-Residents. Otherwise it would be a slap in the face and an indication that our non-resident membership is not valued as much as a Brewster resident. Freezing new Non-Resident Memberships was one indication of the second class status, but understandable given the current tight tee times. I even got a Non-Resident to join in 2021 just so she could be a member in 2022. When asked, I paid for 2 years when the Club asked us to help retire the bond; when asked, I donated a significant amount to Freemans to help them survive the shutdown. if I'm not as highly regarded as someone living in Brewster, I don't have to remain a member. Hopefully we continue to manage this asset in a way that limits Annual Fee rate increases, and that if needed, both Resident and Non-Resident members share in these costs. Very respectively, Chris Hardy I am writing in regards to the proposed non-resident membership fee. I feel, as do many others, that an increase of$450 is excessive. I can understand an increase as there has been each year but this amount is really a lot. After talking to many of the non-resident members,we feel an increase like this shows you no longer want us or need us and this is very painful. We have stood by the club and supported it for a lot of years when things were not so good and now we are treated like this. Did we ask for a rebate when the club was closed for a few months although we had paid for a full years benefits? I doubt that any did. We knew it was necessary and we supported the club. Even many of the resident members feel that this kind of an increase for the non-resident fee is excessive. I am hoping you will reconsider so we can continue to belong to the club and have a good relationship with it. Thanks for your consideration, Mardee Verdina golf commission Im writing in opposition of the supposedly$450.00 (25%) increase proposed by the commission . a 25% increase seems very excessive at this time and like many members my wife and i both play a couple times a week for half the year which means an extra$900.00 a year in dues plus cart fees . As a 20 plus year former resident of Brewster and a 20 plus year current resident of Orleans i would just like to voice my opposition and hope the commission would consider a more modest increase for next season. thank you Ron Harrison (#3018) m ry > E O N Y O j O a o be 3e d2 2Q Se 3°2E 2E 3° 2'de 2E c > ri ei ei ei ei f N N M N h h O C O W r T o ' ' ' O 0n1 N V O h 1p0 I10'1 utOf ' ' ' ' ' • N O epi n O m O M m M O ri O W 01 elf T Vpl N Ont N'1 .mi O N N ONO Yr1 O 001 N O .T-I N NI epi O N CNp N OI O m N y O N OI r .i T tiN Of f1 Q M .r•N .i m }01 m t0 VI IY d ti'i W N h h h h h N h h N N h N N h V N h V I h h V I h h h h h N h N h h h N N ei N N u) O O N N Q r• N N N VJ m m O al O O1 N NC 01 T O m N O O m N m T O N N n N O O O p O N ul M m O • • O m M 01 0p1 h ' ' ' ' ' ' ' pp 0IyyQ O N O N ppOpQp m ry y aN0 N O N v01 N a Omi O O 00 N m O Q up1 N .m-i N M m a N .p-1 N N h N T Q 10 O N m N m Q OI T Q m ei e d N N h h h---h N h h N - ----h h h h h h h N h N h h h h po o o m in o mei° ID n orn o m pnm m c m Q o c n m a m a m h m O o o m o m O pNp O1 m m fO t0 m ' }ry N ti m O N6 cq N W N 'IF ONp 100 N N a N p M V T ii Q ei.mi h T a rl a 011 e1 a N h h h N h N h h N h h h N h N h N h h h N N N N N N ah N h N h N h N N n O h lQ0 O v N O . The data was downloaded from the Chelsea system. There is 24 months of data in the set from 11/15/2019 through 11/15/2021. For future reference, the source data was downloaded from the Chelsea admin interface: "History> Reports > History with Comments" provided the tee times that people played. "Member> Reports >Listing > Membership Type Listing" provided the list of members and their membership type. Thanks, Jeff
