HomeMy Public PortalAbout08-04-2022 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AUGUST 4, 2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Matt Evans. Absent was Emily Palmer. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Bill Henry, Code Enforcement; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; A.J. Sickmann, Corporate Council; Cameron Sickmann; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES JULY 28,2022 Mr. Evans moved to approve the minutes of July 28, 2022, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT-None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT-None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION-None REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS -None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 124-2022—MIKESELL EXCAVATING, INC City retains Contractor to perform services in connection with the demolition of certain structures located at 823 South "G" Street. Services shall include demolition, removal of debris, and restoration of the site. Not to exceed$15,600.00 Board of Works Minutes August 4,2022 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 125-2022—S & M HOME SOLUTIONS,LLC City retains Contractor to perform services in connection with the cleanup of a property located at 130 South 7th Street. Services shall include the cleanup and removal of trash, debris,rubbish,junk,broken fencing,inoperable vehicles and/or junked vehicle parts,tires, machine parts, and other materials. Not to exceed$1,500.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 126-2022—BADER MECHANICAL,INC. City retains Contractor to provide services in connection with the furnishing and installing of a gas line to be connected to the grill located at Fire Station No. 4 for the Fire Department. Work shall be performed by Contractor during regular working hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. during said Project. Not to exceed$1,064.38. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 127-2022—REID HEALTH City gives permission to the Consultant or other authorized environmental contractors, IDEM employees, or other designees authorized by Reid and/or the Consultant to enter upon the site to perform investigation activities for purposes of a Phase II ESA at the Site. This permission is effective immediately upon the execution of this Agreement by City and Reid. The expenses will be paid by Reid Health. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
