AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE
CITY OF IONA, IDAHO; DESCRIBING THESE LANDS;
REQUIRING THE FILING OF THE ORDINANCE AND
AMENDED CITY MAP AND AMENDED LEGAL
DESCRIPTION OF THE CITY WITH THE APPROPRIATE
COUNTY AND STATE AUTHORITIES; AND
ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is contiguous and
adjacent to the City of Iona and is subject to annexation to the City of Iona pursuant to the
provisions of Section 50-222, Idaho Code, as amended; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Mayor and City Council that this land should be
annexed to and become a part of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO, AS FOLLOW S:
Section 1. The land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby annexed
to the City of Iona.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the
Bonneville County Auditor, Treasurer and Assessor within ten (10) days after the effective
date hereof. The City Engineer shall, within ten (10) days after such effective date, file an
amended legal description and map of the City, with the Bonneville County Recorder and
Assessor and the Idaho State Tax Commission, all in accordance with Idaho Code, Section
63-2215.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, execution and
publication in the manner provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, on the 26 day
of July, 2000, and signed by the Mayor on the 26 day of July, 2000.

Beginning at a point that is N,00°24'02"E. along the North -South Center Section line
692.02 feet from the. South 1/4 Corner of Section 1,Township 2 North, Range'38 East of
the Boise Meridian; running thence N.00°24'02"E. along said North -South Center Section
line 86.77 feet; thence N.89°35'58"W. 208.00 feet;. thenceN.00°24'02"E. 135.00 feet;
thence N.89°35'58"W. 166.98 feet; thence 5.00°24'02"W. 225.72 . feet; thence
N.89°35'58"E. 67.78 feet; thence S.00°20'08"W. 1.40 feet; thence N.89°38'44"E. 307.24

"AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO;
DESCRIBING THESE LANDS; REQUIRING THE FILING OF THE ORDINANCE AND
AMENDED CITY MAP AND AMENDED LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CITY

Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 26th day of July 2000 at the hour of 6:30PM,
the City Council of the City of Iona will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of
considering the annexation and zoning of approximately 1.5 acres of real property which
is generally located at the west end of Hansen Avenue, Iona, Idaho. The public hearing
will be conducted at the Iona City Building, 3548 North Main, Iona, Idaho.
