RE: ORDINANCE NO. 42-2022
The transfers listed in this Ordinance will enable the Clerk’s Office to purchase a file
cabinet for the minutes of Boards and Commissions and a record book for the Board of
Public works and Safety. If we purchase these items this month, the prices are in place. If
we wait, the cost will potentially be higher.
My staff and I have reviewed our 2022 budget and are willing to forego funds in Training
and Travel.
For the past several years, it has become more apparent the Indiana League of Municipal
Clerks and Treasurers offer more training for Treasurers than Clerks. I have already
reached the Master Municipal Clerk designation and don’t want to keep repeating classes
just to get credit, so will need to attend the International Institute of Municipal Clerks for
the appropriate classes. The cost for this change is in the 2023 budget.
