1 . Call to Order - 6 : 01 p .m.
2 . Declaration of a Quorum - Quorum was present
3 . Meeting Participation Statement - For remote participation via Zoom
4 . Discussion to determine Partnership' s comments and input for submission to the
Brewster Select Board on Strategic Plan Goals and Action Priorities
Discussion resulted in recommendations to the Select Board as follows :
• The BHP requests to be included as a stakeholder in discussions and to establish
a collaboration zvith the CPC to pursue an amendment to the Tozvn 's
Comniunihj Preservation Act (CPA) formula to increase the percentage
allocation of funds, so that a greater percentage (preferably 50 % ) of those funds
collected by the Tomi are automatically allocated for Affordable Housing
purposes .
• Requests that the Select Board consider incorporating the costs required to
employ a professional Housing Coordinator into the Tozvn 's annual budget (as
opposed to ficnding the position annually via CPA funds) for FY 2023 .
• Consider malcing a commitment to incorporating an affordable housing
component in the acquisition and development of the Cape Cod Sea Camp 's
Bayside and Long Pond properties .
5 . Discussion of an alternative name for the pending development project off Millstone
Road - It is noted that there has been some confusion caused by referring to the
development and another project involving Millstone Road , The BHP wishes to
encourage a consensus in the town to refer to the project with a different name . No
conclusion from this meeting; will revisit the discussion.
6 . Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Housing Rehabilitation and
Childcare Update and Letter of Support - The members voted to send a letter of
support for the grant.
7. Updates from Housing Coordinator - Brewster Woods, Serenity/ Wingate, Habitat,
Eastward, etc . - See attached .
8 . Updates from Standing Committee Liaisons :
a . Affordable Housing Trust - Vanessa Greene will be the representative from BHP
to the trust.
b . CPC - referral of Housing Applications - none to report .
9 . Scheduling of future discussions related to potential rationale and/ or criteria for
Local or Regional Preference in Brewster-Sponsored housing projects and programs
- this will be held for a future meeting.
10 . For Your Information - No reports .
11 . Matters Not Reasonably Anticipated by the Chair - None brought forward .
12 . Minutes of June Housing Partnership meeting - Members approved .
13 . Next Meeting - Thursday, August 19 at 6 : 00 p . m. via zoom
