A Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of PE13 AR
Carteret was called to order by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman at 6:00 January 19, 2017
P.M., Thursday January 19, 2917, Council Chambers, Memorial
Municipal Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon Individual Roll Call Vote the following were noted present: RCLL CALL
Councilmember Vincent Bellino
Dennis DiMascio
Ajmar Johal
Susan Naples
Noted Absent was Council President Jorge Diaz and
Councilmember Randy Krum.
Also noted present was Kathleen M. Barney, Municipal Clerk and
Robert J. Bergen, Law Director.
The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the -Silent Prayer/
Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman. Pledge of Allegi.am
The Clerk stated that on January 6, 2017, the 2017 Annual Notice
was mailed to The Home News Tribune, The Star Ledger and
posted on the Bulletin Board. Notice was published in The Home STAZ= CF M=
News Tribune and The Star Ledger on January 11, 2017. NMCE
Upon MMS &C by Councilmembers Bellino and Dimascio and
unanimous affirmative vote of the four (4) Councilmembers

was approved and engrossed by the Clerk.

Public portion unanimous affirmative vote of the four (4) Councilmembers

Items and New Business present, the Public Portion on Resolutions Agenda Items and New
Business was opened to the public.
There were no comments or objections from the public.
Upon MMS &C by Councilmembers Bellino and Naples and
Public portion Closed unanimous affirmative vote of the four (4) Councilmembers
present, the public portion of the meeting was closed.

appearing on the prepared list, properly audited and signed, were
ordered to be paid. Upon Individual Roll Call Vote
Councilmembers Bellino, DiMascio, Johal and Naples voted in the
Affirmative. Councilmembers Diaz & Krum were noted absent.

COMMITTEES:
BUILDINGS & GROUNDS — Committee Chairperson Johal reported
Progress in cleaning up the library basement and waiting on
equipment for the community center and continued progress.
FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION — In the absence of Committee
Chairperson Diaz Mayor Reiman reported Progress.
FIRE & DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS — In the absence of Committee
Chairperson Krum Mayor Reiman reported progress.
PARKS, RECREATION & PUBLIC PROPERTY — Committee
Chairperson Bellino reported progress.

POLICE: Committee Chairperson Naples stated nothing at this
time. She gave and extensive report at the Re- Organization
meeting and she will have more at the next meeting.
Mayor Reiman stated that three (3) acting Sergeants were
appointed effective January 23, 2017
PUBLIC WORKS: Committee Chairperson DiMascio reported
Progress.
BOARD OF EDUCATION: Committee Chairperson Naples stated no
progress with the Superintendant.
ADJOLRED After no further discussion, upon MMS &C by Councilmembers
Beiiino and Di[Aascio and unanimous affirmative vote of the four
(4) Councilmembers present, the meeting was Adjourned at
approximately 6:03 P.M.
