Sec. 8-124 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY OWNED BY ROMAN
CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF JOLIET.
WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is
contiguous to the Village of Plainfield and is not within the
territorial limits of any other municipality; and
WHEREAS, the owner of the
has petitioned for annexation
of Plainfield; and
property hereinafter described
of the property to the Village
WHEREAS, no electors reside thereon; and
WHEREAS, it is for the best interest of the Village of
Plainfield that said territory be annexed to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, as follows:
Sec. 8-124-1: Territory Described. That the
following described tract of land herein called
territory, to-wit:
LOT FIFTEEN (15), IN UNIT NO 1 OF PLAINFIELD ACRES, A
SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE SOUTH TWO THOUSAND THREE
HUNDRED ONE (2301) FEET OF THE WEST HALF (W. s) OF THE
SOUTHWEST QUARTER (S.W.x) OF SECTION FIFTEEN (15), IN
TOWNSHIP THIRTY SIX (36) NORTH, AND IN RANGE NINE (9)
EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE
PLAT RECORDED JULY 2, 1951, IN PLAT BOOK 27, PAGE 55, AS
DOCUMENT NO. 694112, IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
Sec. 8-124-2: Village Limits Extended. That the
Village limits of the Village of Plainfield be, and
the same are hereby extended to include the above
described territory.
Sec. 8-124-3: Ordinance No. 1 Amended. That
Ordinance No. 1 of the Village of Plainfield be
amended as follows:
That the limits of the Village of Plainfield
shall be extended to include the tract of land
described in Section 8-124-1 hereof.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby

This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance
No. 1255 and shall take effect upon its passage
and approval in accordance with the provisions of
the Statutes of the State of Illinois in such case
made and provided and the- Village Clerk shall
certify two copies of this Ordinance together with
an accurate map of the annexed territory and file
same in the Office of the County Clerk and the
Village Clerk shall certify a copy of this
Ordinance together with an accurate map of the
annexed territory and record same in the Office of
the Recorder of Deeds of said Will County.
