a. Rosemead / Callita / Sultana Intersection Improvements
Collaboration improved traffic circulation and safety at the Rosemead Blvd. /
Callita St. / Sultana Ave. intersection.
b. Rosemead Blvd. Construction Coordination
Collaboration produced timely construction schedule with anticipated
Rosemead Blvd. Project completion Spring 2014.
c. Tree Planting Grant Program
$70,000 County grant allowed for the replanting of 288 trees lost from the 2011
windstorm.
4. CURRENT ISSUES / PRIORITY NEEDS
a. Civic Center Master Plan - Library Needs Assessment
Master planning will catalyze a new civic center, including a new and larger
County library.
b. Focused Improvements and Code Enforcement along Rosemead Blvd.
Target street paving and code enforcement of County properties along
Rosemead Blvd.

c. Sheriff Department’s Response Times
Develop a plan that achieves faster response times to Temple City from
Temple Station.
d. Public Safety Realignment
Define a strategy that addresses the early release of inmates from State
prisons, and its impact to Temple City.
5. FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES
a. Parks and Open Space Master Plan
Develop new parks at shared borders and further investigate regional walking
trails on Eaton Wash and possible park at Rosemead Blvd. and Emperor.
b. Public Art Program
Support expansion of Temple City’s newly created Public Arts in Places
Program.
