City Controller Wilson presiding - all members present. Minutes dispensed with.

Clerk presented proofs of publication that this date had been set to receive bids on
improvement Resolution 1009-1956. (1st alley west of SW 4th, from 1st alley south of
Natal Road to SW "C" St.) One bid received - Robinson Brothers for $3,675.75. City
Attorney Cecere moved to accept bid. Seconded by City 'engineer Deuker.
The Clerk presented a resolution from the State Highway Dept. that prohibits parking
at any time on either side of East Main Street between 17th Street and the east cor-
poration line of Richmond. The resolution was ordered filed.
City Controller Wilson reported that he had received a notice from the Duncan Parking
Meter Corporation that 110 meters had been shipped on 12-26-56.
City Engineer Deuker presented a right-of-way agreement with the Pennsylvania Railroad
for the oontruction of a sewer for the Glen Hills Sub-Division.
City Attorney Cecere moved to purchase Lot r' 19, Revinia Park First Addition, for the
sum of $2,600.00, for the erection of a fire station. Seconded by City Engineer Deuker.
Kenneth Young, Police radio operator, appeared before the Board and was handed a letter
notifying him of his termination of employment. Said letter having been mailed Special'
Delivery on 24 December 1956, and not having been delivered because of insufficient
postage.
City i'ngineer Deuker reported that the new trash collection units would be in operation
after the first of the year.
City Controller Wilson moved that three (3) overhead, lighted traffic lane markers be
purchased for $25.95 each, for use at Ft.Wayne Ave. , and North "D" Street. Seconded by
City Engineer Deuker.
IIICity Controller Wilson moved that the curbs tt West 7th and Main Street be painted yellow
for a distance of 501 from the intersection. Seconded by City Engineer Deuker.
Fire Chief Williams reported that the attic was all cleaned and was the "cleanest he had
ever seen". He said all wiring had been checked, dead wires removed, and records moved
to the basement. He also reported he had installed four (4) fire extinguishers in the
City Building.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made and seconded the meeting
adjourned.
