Minutes of previous meeting dispensed with. City engineer Deuker reported he had been contacted by officials of the C & 0 Railroad regarding the possiblity of shortening the trestle along South 1st Street by the Starr Piano Company by making an extensive fill. He said if this work is done, the sewer in that location would be covered. Mr. Deuker said he would report further on this as plans progress. Police Chief Mitrione presented the following recommendations of Captain Juerling: That parking be removed from the south side of South "E" from 9th to 10th, and that the traffic lights at South 8th & "E" and at South 9th & "E" be synchronized so as to allow a better flow of traffic that is east and west bound. The Board unaminously recommended a street light be placed on NW 8th Street between 'lichmond Avenue and Peacock Road. City Controller Wilson reported that "Walk" and "Dont Walk" lights are in the process of being installed at West 1st and Main Street for the use of north and south bound pedestriands. City Engineer Deuker said plans were being formulated for a better flow of traffic onto FT. Wayne Avenue from the Twentieth Century Bridge and North "D" Street. The Board discussed the placing of overhead lane indicators at this location. There being no further business presented, on motion duly made and seconded, the meeting adjourned.
