All members present - minutes of previous meeting dispensed with.
City Controller Wilson reported on parking meters in use in Oxford, Liberty & Winchester.
City Engine' Deuker moved to accept the bid of Duncan Parking Meter Corp. , Chicato, Ill.
of $50.75P`fcor 110 meters. Seconded by City Attorney Cecere. City Engineer Deuker moved to
purchase `twelve 15 minute meters from the Dual Parking Meter Company, Canton, Ohio, on a
IIItrial basis. Seconded by City Attorney Cecere®
City Attorney Cecere moved to install one 15 minute meter per block on each side of Main St.
as follows: At the SE corner of 4th,5th,6th,7th,5th,9th and 10th & Main and at the NW corner
of 5th,6th,8th,9th and 10th & Main. Seconded by 'ity Engineer Deuker.
Police Chief Mitrione .recommended the following men be hired as probationery patrolmen as of
January 1, 1957; Robert J. Brinker, 309 National Road West, James Saxton, 116 NW 6th Street,
and Harold Williamson, 416 SW 16th St. He reported that had been cleared by the State Police
and the F.E.I. The Mayor reported he concurred with this recommendation. City Attorney
Cecere so moved. Seconded by City Engineer Deuker. ,
The Board gave unaminous consent for the Junior Chamber of Commerce to park a trailer on
Main Street in front of Knollenbeig s for the March of Dimes from December 29, 1956 to Jan.
31, 1957.
Fire Chief Williams reported that much of the old wiring had been replaced in the City
Building and his men were going to complete the job in a few days. He also reported,that
•the "¢attic had been cleaned and the moving of records to the basement would be completed
- this week end, and that the Telephone Company had been contacted regarding the telephone
wires and-would correct in the near future. ,
City Engineer Deuker moved that the 1st alley South of North "D" Street from 3rd to 4th be
opened to 3rd. Said alley opening to be on City Owned property. Seconded by City Attorney
Cecere.
City Engineer Deuker moved that property on Whitewater Blvd. west of Bridge Ave. be retained

in its present condition and not be sold for use as an automobile repair shop. Seconded by
City Attorney Cecere.
The Board unaminously approved the Plat of the Morningside second Sub-Division.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made and seconded, the meeting
adjourned.
