OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1956 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the City Hall in said City on Friday, November 2, 1956, at the hour of 9:00 A.M. (DST). Mr. Wilson, Mr. Cecere and Mr. Deuker being present. The following business was had: to wit On motion duly made and seconded the minutes of the previous meeting were dis- pensed with. The Clerk presented proofs o6 publication that a public hearing would he held on this date on Improvement Resolutions 1008-1956, 1009-1956, 1010-1956, and 1011- 1956. The proofs were ordered filed. Two property owners objected to Improvement Resolution 1008-1956. City Attorney • Cecere moved to take under advisement. City Engineer Deuker seconded. Improvement Resolution 1009-1956 - no remonstrances filed. City Engineer Deuker moved to take under advisement. City Attorney Cecere seconded. Improvement Resolution 1010-1956.- no remonstrances filed. City Engineer Deuker moved to confirm. City Attorney Cecere seconded. The Clerk ordered to advertise for bids. Improvement Resolution 1011-1956 - no remonstrances filed. City Engineer Deuker moved to confirm. City Attorney Cecere seconded. The Clerk ordered to advertise .for bids. The Clerk presented the Light Plant estimate for a street light at the alley on South "C" St. between South 14th and 15th Streets. City Attorney Cecere moved that this light be ordered installed. Seconded by City Engineer Deuker. Police Chief presented a plan for parking in the parking lot across the White= water Blvd. from Civic Hall. He was instructed to contact school officials to see if they would be willing to share the cost of the necessary work. City Attorney moved that the fire departments of Centerville, Cambridge City and Liberty be written a letter of thanks for the stand-by service they provided during the fire at the YMCA. Seconded by City Controller Wilson. . City Engineer Deuker moved that a curb cut at 648 S. "J" Street be approved. Seconded by City Controller Wilson. . The Clerk was instructed to contact the Richmond Water Works and order water into the Morningside First Sub-Division. (South 21st, south of "G" Street) The Clerk was requested to write a letter ordering the removal of a lighted sign. in a yard in the 1400 block of West "ain Street. The Clerk read a letter from the U.S. Naval Air Station, Columbus, Ohio, thanking the Richmond Fire Department for their efforts in keeping fire from spreading in a recent plane crash near Richmond.
