B) Monthly C) Actual bills are due February 1st and May 1st, and mailed approximately 30 days in advance of the due date. If the tax rate is set later in the year, the due date for both actual bills would be May 1st. D) A & C Discussion: Watertown uses quarterly real estate tax billing, so D, or A & C is the correct answer. Unpaid real estate tax bills begin to accrue interest at 14%, and once in tax title, the interest rate increases to 16%. The Town will be moving any unpaid fiscal year 2018 and 2019 taxes in to tax title over the next few months. The Town's fiscal year begins on July 1st, and ends on June 30t". Cleaning all those rooms, walking up and down stairs, and doing yard work is troublesome. Perhaps health concerns are a factor. Is it time to downsize? Because its so important and the potential expensive problems so significant, many people request help from experienced elder law attorneys for their tax saving, estate, asset protection and life planning concerns. Are you concerned that financial gains from the sale of your home may be tax free, however the proceeds will remain attachable by the State in event of a future nursing home stay?
