Barbara Lynam of 98 Coolidge Avenue, Carteret, NJ: why about two (2) weeks ago, its not the first time it happened but the Park lights are left on till 1:30 am. I don't have to put lights on in my kitchen because its lit up. Is their anyone to shut them off, or no one has driven by there to see if the lights have been turned off? The Mayor: Absolutely and they should have been shut off, what happens is a lot of the leagues have keys to the box to put them on an unfortunately sometimes they don't turn them off. Parks Department and Police have caught it, there have been times where we've seen certain leagues all of a sudden the son or the daughter has a set of keys to go over there and turn the lights on and they are playing not organized ball but it's a couple people and they have gotten chased off the field. The I hycr 5 February 23, 2017 Public Portions Cont. Barbara Lyrm Barbara Lynam: What time are they supposed to be off, around ten (10) or eleven (11)? 'Ile %yor The Mayor: Generally they have to be off at eleven (11) if they go a little longer that's alright and the park closes around dusk but that being said they are suppose to be out of there by ten (10). We will share this tomorrow with the park supervisor and the night guy as well, he is usually there till about nine (9) or ten (10). So we will make sure that we keep an eye on that. Kevin Urban Kevin Urban of 285 Randolph street, Carteret, NJ: with all the construction on Noe St. some residents have asked me are their anything in the plans to send a street sweeper down or something to handle the dust? Tlhe %yor The Mayor: the problem is with the sweeper as you know the streets under construction and it's mostly rocks so were they are digging up they are putting blue stone and construction grade materials and so if the sweeper goes in there it's just gonna sweep it up. We can spray it down but then you create mud so it's a catch twenty -two (22). Right now it's dust otherwise you are gonna have mud all over the place. But I will address it tomorrow with the engineer and with the site manager. I drive by there almost every day leaving here and you can see the trenches that they filled with stone so the sweeper can even go over that. It will just shoot the stones.
