FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1955 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, F riday, ' November. 25, 1955, at the hour of 8: 00 o' clock A. M. ( CST) . Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Deuker and Mr. Haworth. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous IImeeting were dispensed with. On recommendation of the Chief of Police the Board accepted the bid for two ( 2) new police cars as submitted by Kurdy' s Chevrolet, Inc. The Board approved the .request of Henry Rodenberg to execuvate for and lay a one inch ( 1" ) cop_oer water line along the east side of the Whitewater Blvd. On recommendation of Capt. Juerling the Board approved the installation of stop signs at the intersection of North 16th and "H" Street. North 16th Street to be the stop street. Mr. John Morley, Vice-President of the Wesson Bus Company and Darrell Scheffer, General Manager of the Richmond Bus Lines, appeared before the Board to report that a petition was being filed with the Public Service Commission to increase the fare rates of the local bus company. This will involve a 150 straight fare and eliminate the tokesn. The school chilcren fare of 10c/ straight will be in effect as has been. The following curb cut was allowed: 35-37 North 6th Street for entrance to parking lot. Claims in the amount of $28,528. 04 were allowed. .
