HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-10-1955 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 1955. The Board. of Public Works and Safety, of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City Thursday, November 10, 1955, at the hour of 8: 00 o' clock A.M. ( CST) . Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Deuker and Mr. Chambers. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the following Declaratory Resolutions were adopted : DECLARATORY RESOLUTION NO. 10-1955 RESOLVED: By the Board of Public Works & Safety, of the City of Richmond, in the State of Indiana, that it is desired and deemed necessary to vacate a certain right-of-way and easement granted to the said City for use by the Municipal Electric Light and Power Plant to install poles and wire lines in Wayne Township, County of Wayne, and State of Indiana, which easement proposed to be vacated is more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Being part of' Section No. 7, Township No. 13 North and Range No, 1 West and bounded: On the North by the lands of Maggie Miller On the West by the lands of Earlham College Farm On the South by the lands of City of Richmond On the East by the lands of Dwain E. Small All as shown in easement grant dated the 19th day of February, 1954 and recorded in Record Book 259, Page 121 in the office of the Recorder of Wayne County, Indiana with an accompanying plat. The property which may be injuriously or beneficially affected by said proposed vacation is known and described as the easement herein proposed to be vacated and. the lots abutting property now or formerly owned by Walter Test. • DECLARATORY RESOLUTION NO. 11-1955 RESOLVED: By the Board of Public Works & Safety, of the City of Richmond, in the State of Ind iana, that it is desired and deemed necessary to vacate a certain right-of-way and easement granted to the said City for use by the Municipal Electric Light and Power Plant to install poles and wire lines in Wayne Township, County of Wayne, and State of Indiana, which easement proposed to be vacated is more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Being part of Section No. 12, Township No. 13 North, and Range No, 2 West and bounded:- On the North by lands of Olive K. Robinson On the West by lands of Allen Sanders On the South by lands of Henry J. Pardieck On the East by lands of Henry J. Pardieck All as shown in easement grant dated the 9th day of February, 1954 and recorded in Record Book 259, Page 63 in the office of the Recorder of Wayne County, Indiana with an accompanying plat. The property which may be injuriously or beneficially affected by said proposed vacation is known and described as the easement herein proposed to be vacated and the lots abutting property now or formerly owned by Gladys Gibson. 1_ 54 DECLARATORY RESOLUTION NO. 12-1955 RESOLVED: By the Board of Public Works & Safety of the City of Richmond, in the State of Indiana., that it is desired and deemed necessary to vacate a certain right-of-way and easement granted to the said City for use by the Municipal Electric Light and Power Plant to install Doles and wire • linen in Wayne Township, County of Wayne, and State of Indiana, which easement proposed to be vacated is more particularly de- scribed as follows, to-wit: Being part of Section No. 7, Township No. 13 North and Range No. 1 West and bounded: On the West by the lands of Norman W. Beach On the South by land of Walter Test On the East by the lands of Paul L. Backmeyer On the North by the lands of Maggie G. Miller All as shown in easement grant dated the 3rd day of February, 1954 and recorded in Record Book 259, page 67 in the office of the Recorder of Wayne County, Indiana with an accompanying plat. The property which may be injuriously or beneficially affected by said proposed vacation is known and described as the easement herein proposed to be vacated and the lots abutting property now or formerly owned by Robert E. Lashley. Claims in the amount of °, 24, 448. 31 were allowed. There being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned. Chairman Attest: City Clerk
