FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1955 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday, November 4, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 o' clock A.M. (CST) . Mr. Coleman Presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Deuker. Mr. Chambers being absent. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. On recommendation of Capt. Juerling the Board approved the following streets to be made one-way: South 6th Street from South "E" to "H" one-way north bound South "F" from South 7th to South 9th one-way east bound South "G" from South 5th to South 9th one-way west bound South "H" from. South 5th to South 9th one-way east bound This to be effective when the proper signs are installed. The following letter was received from the Light Plant: November 2, 1955 Ather J. Reeg, City Clerk City Building Dear Sir: In reply to your letter dated October 29, 1955 you re- quested costs for traffic lights installed at North 15th & 'A' Street and North 16th & ' E' Street. Attached are prints showing location of signals as proposed for installation. North 16th & 'E° Street 1 - 4 way traffic signal with overhead mounting - to meet state specifications and is of same manufacture as all signals in City. Estimated cost installed $692.45. North 15th & 'A' Street 2 - 4 way post mounted traffic signals with underground feed and of same construction as in downtown area. Estimated cost installed $745.53. The above costs are low due to having some of the material on hand from previous installations, also the City is to hot patch North 15th & 'A' Street upon completion of signals.
