HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-16-1955 I4- 1 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 1955 The Board of -Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday, September 16, 1955, at the hour of 8: 00 oclock A.M. (CST) . Mr. Coleman presiding with Mr. Deuker and Mr. Chambers being present. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. IIMr. Herman Knarzer, Plant Superintendent of the Dille-McGuire Company, appeared before the Board and reported that vandalism in the nature of windows being broken out in the warehouse by rock throwing and B-B guns. Mr. Knarzer requested that a B-B Gun Ordinance be adopted. This was referred to the City Attorney to check and recommend® Mayor Meadows requested that the Parking Meter Ordinance be amended to include the new North .10th Street Parking Lot area. This was referred to the City Attorney to prepare the Ordinance for Council' s consideration. Both the represenative from the Midwest Fire & Safety Equipment Company and the E.H. Gilcrest Company, bidders on the tank truck for the Fire Department, were present and each were heard. The Board took no action on the bids that were submitted. Claims in the amount of 440,077. 85 were allowed.
