HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-18-1955 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, IND IANA. FRIDAYT; FEBRUARY 18, 1955. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Ind Tana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Fri- day, February 18, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 o' clock A.M. (CST). Mr. Coleman presiding with the following member being present: Mr. Hoddgin. Mr. Chambers being absent. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. II The Clerk presented proofs of publication printed in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper on the date of January 31 and February 7, 1955, that a public hearing would be held on Assessment Roll No. 985- 1954 for the first alley north of National Road West between Southwest 13th and Southwest 14th Streets. The proofs were ordered filed. All persons present who were interested were heard and no remonstrance being filed or presented the Board now confirms Assessment Roll No. 985-1955 as adopted. The. Clerk presented proofs of publication printed in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper on the dates of January 31 and February 7, 1955, that a public hearing would be held on this date for Improvement Resolution No. 994-1955 for a Sanitary Sewer on South 10th Street from South "M" Street to South "0" Street. The proofs were ordered filed. All persons present who were interested were heard and no remonstrance being filed or presented the Board now confirms Improvement Resolution No. 994-1955 as adopted. The Clerk presented proof of publication printed in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper on the date of January 24 and January 31, 1955, that sealed bids would be received on this date for a new car for the Building Inspector. The proofs were ordered filed. II The following bids were opened and read aloud: KURDY CHEVROLET COMPANY One (1) 1955 Chevrolet Utility Sedan equipped with Airflo Heater and Defroster, Turn Signals and Dual Wipers Delivered Price $1787.26 Less Federal Excise Tax 118.00 1669.26 Less Allowance 1950 Ford Coupe 569.26 Net Difference $1100.00 DEA MEADOWS FORD SALES . S 1-1955 Ford Tudor 6 Cyl, Equipped as Follows: Magic Airs Heater with Defroster, Turn Signals Positive Action Wipers, Oil Filter, Oil Bath Air Cleaner - $1907.00 Less: Allowance for 1950 For Coupe No. 117198 647.00 Net Diffenence $1260.00 On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the bid of the Kurty Chevro- let Company was accepted. IIThe Clerk presented the appraisers valuation for the Building Inspectors car. The Board unanimously adopted Assessment Roll No. 99?-1954 and a public hearing to be held March 18, 1955.
